Paducah International Raceway and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series announce the decision to cancel the rescheduled Lucas Oil Late Model Race on September 22, 2011 to concentrate on promoting it for the 2012 season.

We look forward to bringing the Lucas Oil series back bigger and better next year along with all our other special events and regular Friday night racing in our exciting 2012 schedule. ”

JULY 16, 2011 Wow all I can say is for those of you who could not attend last night's races you missed one of the best tracks of the year! The Modified feature alone was worth the price of admission. Steve Ladd, Justin Houston, Trent Young, and Justin Story battled at times almost 4 wide for a large portion of the race. Unfortunately Story developed problems in the late going. As the cars came out of Turn 4 for the checkered Trent Young stood on the loud pedal and squeeked by Steve Ladd at the line, with Justin Houston a very close third. It was truly an amazing finish. Cary King and Ricky Waggoner had a tremendous battle in the Pro Late Model race with King prevailing in the end. Waggoner would end up a very close second with Clayton Miller right on their heels for third. Mike Hodges made the trip from Tennessee pay off by winning the Feezors Restoration $500 to win special in the Street Stocks. Mark Moore won the Kentucky Vintage Car feature. In the 4 Cylinder Warriors Michael Watson won his first feature of the year in an exciting race with Hunter Lyles. Lyles tried putting a move on Watson coming for the checkereds but lost his momentum and ended up 2nd. AJ Keeling won his first High School Warriors race over current track points Tya Cunningham.
