Brown, Bradham, and Cruse Pick Up Wins
Paducah International Raceway would like to thank all the fans and drivers who joined us Friday, August 24th when the USA World 50 returned home to PIR. In a field of 23 cars, “The Highside Hustler” Jason Feger proved unbeatable as he raced to Victory Lane in the MARS vs. UMP $5,000 to win Challenge. Huge props go to local UMP favorite, Tanner English, who raced a great race and finished in the second spot. Six-time MARS champion Terry Phillips was third followed by Brian Shirley in the fourth spot, and 2011 race winner Shannon Babb went home in the fifth spot. Terry English finished sixth, Tim Brown was seventh, Billy Moyer, Jr. was eighth, Bobby Pierce ninth, and Randy Sellars rounded out the Top 10.
In other racing action, current points leader in the Pro (Crate) Late Model Division, Cameron Brown picked up his third Feature win of the 2012 season. Everett Bradham held off top contenders Jeff Elliott, Rod Reed, Steve Ladd, and JR Mason to pick up the Modified Feature win. In Street Stock action, 2011 Track Champion Tony Cruse picked up his fifth Feature win of the season. Tom Shaffer finished second. Mike Watson was third, Darrell Hartman fourth, and David Mathew rounded out the Top five.
